Move over Girl Scout Tagalongs, Aldi’s Benton’s Peanut Butter Cookies might be better!
Aldi Benton’s Peanut Butter Cookies
Aldi has found a way to cure my craving for girl scout cookies anytime of the year. These sweet peanut butter filled cookies are a great stand in for Girl Scout’s Tagalongs. They come in a pack of 18 and are less than $1!
Cost: $0.95 (per box)
Compared to Tagalongs
The Aldi Benton’s cookies have more peanut butter than Tagalongs but without trying them side by side you might not even notice. There’s not much else to say. Other than the filling these taste identical and are significantly cheaper. My local girl scout troops were selling them for $5 a box this past year (2018), which is pretty pricey considering how fast we gobble them up.
Cost: $5 (per box).

Summary
These are not a perfect match, but they’re less than a dollar and you can get them all year long. That makes these an easy purchase. Please still support your local Girl Scout troops but Aldi has your back when they’re not selling.
